O-Shot Q&A with James Fontaine, MD
The O-Shot is a minimally invasive, painless, non-surgical regenerative medicine procedure to rejuvenate the vagina to help women with urinary incontinence and sex problems.
The procedure stimulates vaginal and clitoral rejuvenation to activate the female orgasm system and treat stress/urge incontinence, looseness, dryness or lack of sensitivity.
Most women who have received the O-Shot have enjoyed an increase in their sexual response and for many the increase is dramatic. Thus, there is no reason for any women to give up on her ability to enjoy a healthy and active sex life if that is what she desires.
There is no recovery time and results are almost immediate in some women but full results typically occur after about three months.
Although each woman’s experience can be different, patients have reported the following benefits from the O-Shot:
- Decreased urinary incontinence
- Greater arousal from clitoral stimulation
- Younger, smoother skin of the vulva (lips of the vagina)
- A tighter introitus (vaginal opening)
- Stronger orgasms
- More frequent orgasms
- Increased sexual desire
- Increased ability to have a vaginal orgasm
- Decreased pain for those with dyspareunia (painful intercourse)
- Increased natural lubrication
The O-Shot is recommended for women of all ages including those on and off hormone replacement therapy. These are the most common issues that can be resolved with an O-Shot:
- Urine leakage when you jump, laugh or cough
- Urine leakage if you wait too long to use the bathroom
- Low sexual desire
- Difficulty being aroused
- Difficulty achieving orgasm
- Painful intercourse
- Vaginal dryness
The actual injection takes only a few minutes. However, the appointment lasts about an hour for a blood draw, preparation, time for the numbing cream and aftercare instructions.
There is no downtime with the O-Shot. You may resume sexual activity immediately following the O-Shot.
The O-Shot costs $1,500.
